(BNP) - On the morning of July 5, Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee received and worked with Ms. Nguyen Thu Thuy, Head of the Representative Office of STC Group in Vietnam on the coordination training and consulting in the field of port and logistics of Bac Ninh province in the near future.

Accompanying the delegation was Ms. Vu Thi Tam, Deputy General Director, Training Director of New Port Company - STC.

Gladly welcoming the delegation of the representative office of STC Group in Vietnam to work in Bac Ninh, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huong Giang provided a quick overview on the province's socio-economic development over the past time, especially in industrial sites development and logistics activities in the area. Currently, the whole province has 24 licensed projects operating in the field of logistics with a total newly and adjusted registered investment capital of 493.26 million USD. In addition, there are 07 logistics centers in concentrated industrial zones which attract the investment from foreign-invested enterprises, serving the storage and transportation needs of large FDI corporations...

The demand for logistics development is significant, however the quality of professional human resources in the logistics field of the province is still not high. On the other hand, the province does not have any specialized training facility in logistics. Therefore, the Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee wants the representative office of STC Group in Vietnam to express consideration and develop a training program to support professional education in logistics, ensuring quality and efficiency, therefore meet the needs of the province on human resources in the field of ports and maritime in the near future.

Sincerely thanking the respectful welcome of the leaders of Bac Ninh province, Head of the representative office of STC Group in Vietnam Nguyen Thu Thuy stated that STC Group is a leading Dutch enterprise specializing in training, providing education, consulting and research services to the maritime and logistics industries in all regions of the world. In Vietnam, additional to the representative office of STC Group, there are also 02 training facilities to provide certificates of logistics including: Tan Cang Human Resource Development Company Limited - STC; The Center for Maritime Training and Human Resources was founded by STC Group in collaboration with the University of Transport of Ho Chi Minh City.

Expressing her impression with the potential and development opportunities of Bac Ninh province, the head of the representative office of STC Group in Vietnam affirmed that she will soon examine and develop a cooperation plan with the province on supporting logistics training for the local. At the same time, she wishes to continue receiving coordination and facilitation from the province to soon initiate cooperation activities, creating a basis for building the best training program, contributing to improving the quality of human resources, and promoting the development of logistics and seaports of Bac Ninh in the coming time.
